Hello and welcome to my about me page. How did you end up here? Presumably by being a friend or casual acquaintance of mine who I pestered to check out my podcast. Either way, welcome! I'm Michael. I'm a bald, bearded man in my 30s so naturally, I decided to make a podcast.

Years ago, I had dreams of becoming a writer and journalist. I have my degree, can do shorthand and all that nonsense, but my career shifted to tech by way of marketing. So this is a bit of a creative outlet to get the critic juices flowing!

I love film, but I've got some huge gaps in my backlog. Lots of cult classics, particularly from the 80s, as well as some massive mainstream films too. I've seen multiple films by film school darlings like Hong Sang-soo or Claire Denis, but Goodfellas? Nah.

So this podcast and site is an excuse for me to fill in those blanks whilst speaking to people across podcasting, criticism, acting and comedy about the films they love.
